Privacy notice
How EzMarket describes data use and customer choices.
This public notice explains the connected-payment and merchant-scoped data boundaries in plain language. It should be reviewed with Malaysian legal counsel before a material pilot launch.
1. Information used
EzMarket uses account details, merchant information, connected transaction records, programme activity, device and security information, and consent records needed to operate and protect the service.
2. How information is used
Information supports authorised payments, merchant-scoped programme reporting, account support, fraud prevention, service operation and legal or dispute requirements.
3. Merchant-scoped data
Participating merchants should receive information connected to their own authorised programme. EzMarket does not describe customer identities as a shared list available across unrelated merchants.
4. Payment and marketing choices
Information needed for a requested payment or account service is handled separately from optional marketing permission. Where marketing permission is optional, customers can withdraw it.
5. Service providers and legal disclosure
Information may be handled by service providers needed to operate the platform or disclosed when required by applicable law. EzMarket does not sell personal data.
6. Security
EzMarket uses access controls and technical safeguards appropriate to the service. No online system is risk-free, and security issues should be reported promptly.
7. Retention
Information is retained according to operational, security, dispute and legal needs. A detailed retention schedule should be confirmed by the service owner and reviewed before pilot launch.
8. Access, correction and deletion
Customers may request access or correction and may ask about deletion where applicable. Some transaction or security records may need to be retained for legitimate or legal reasons.
9. Contact
Privacy questions and requests can be sent to privacy@nocap.my.
